Mountain Skills 2

The Mountain skills 2 is the second course on the Mountain skills pathway and aims to build upon the skills covered in mountain skills 1. Topics covered on the Mountain skills 1 will include:

• using a compass,
• route-planning and the preparation of route cards,
• night navigation,
• movement in steep terrain,
• mountain rescue and emergency procedures.

Before booking onto a training course participants must be registered with the mountain training board of Ireland on the mountain skills pathway.
