A rather damp boomerang gully!

The forecast wasn’t looking fantastic today, with increasing winds and rain on the cards. Mikey and myself opted for Boomerang gully In Coire nan Lochan. The gully gets grade II, so is pretty straight forward ground, meaning that we would be able to move pretty fast and get back down, hopefully before the weather closed in. I had’nt been on the route before and was keen to suss it out, as it supposed to be a really good route to teach on. It really lived up to it reputation, fantastic gear and good belays. Mikey hasnt got a huge amount of winter leading experience and was psyched to have another grade II lead under his belt, so we both got something useful out of the day. We topped out just before 1 o’clock then pegged it back to the car, we were in fortwilliam drinking tea by 3, result!!
Things were rather damp on the crags today, the recent warm weather has massively stripped the snow, and things are set to remain warm for another few days, fingers crossed for another cold spell.
