Headed out yesterday with Swail and Mikey. Swail is busy preping for his winter ML assessment so we decided to head up to Sron na Lairig, this gave plenty of scope for swail to get another quality mountain day in the log book but also gave me a chance to do a bit more short roping. The ridge is grade II, so reasonably straight forward gound, an lots of scope for short pitches and moving together. It starts of fairly broad and gets narrower the higher you get, unfortunately it was quite a claggy day, so we werent able to enjoy the veiws or the exposure that you would experience on a clear day. We made good time to the top then headed up to the summit of Stob Coire Sgreamhach, before descending. It was a pretty warm day, with lots of things dropping off, so we had to choose are route back down carefully, sticking to ridges to avoid being below anything that might come our way! The weather is pretty warm today and is set to stay warm over the weekend, so lots of sitting about drinking coffee on the cards, a welcome opportunity to charge the batteries.
