Solitude on Strangford

Its been just over two weeks since I arrived back home and already Scotland seems like a distant memory! Things got off to great start, getting stuck back into work, doing a few days for rock and ride, and bits and pieces for myself. However, since then I’ve been feeling a little under the weather, and was forced to take some time off work and rest up, just as the weather started to pick up…..typical! Now that the weather has returned to winter I’m feeling much better and managed to get out for a days paddling on monday. As great as it is to get out on the water with friends, its hard to beat a bit of solo paddling, so I threw the boat on the car and headed to whiterock. There was a slight breeze which dropped off during the day so the water was pretty flat, although overcast it was great to be out on the lough. I hadn’t been  in my boat since before heading to Scotland, so it definitely was good to be back, and much easier on the knees!

Dodgy self portrait!
