Another blustery day out in the Cairngorms!

Today we headed into the shoulder of Lochain. This provided us with some steeper snow than yesterday and gave us a good opportunity to expand on our crampon skills. It was forecast to be a pretty windy day, with winds increasing throughout the day. I opted not to head up onto the plateau, didnt see the point in suffering just for the sake of suffering!! Instead we headed onto the top of the shoulder of Lochain and spent the rest of the day looking at navigation. It wasnt really a day for taking photos once we had left the shelter of the snow slopes, so here are just a few from the start of the day.
